Questions people actually ask
What happens when I use up today's allowance?
Summarizing pauses until midnight in your time zone - nothing is charged, and nothing you've already made goes anywhere: your library, your published summaries and your notes all stay open. You get a notice at 80% so it's never a surprise, and the exact reset time when you get there. Need more today? Moving up a plan takes effect immediately.
What is the weekly ceiling for?
Fair use. Premium gives 4 hours a day and 16 a week; Maximum 12 a day and 50 a week. Most members never notice it - it's there so one account can't run at full tilt every single day. It resets on Monday.
Does a failed summary count against me?
No. Your allowance is only used when a summary is finished and handed to you. If the video has no transcript, the file can't be read, or something breaks on our side, nothing is counted - and the message on screen says so.
Does unused allowance roll over?
No - every day starts fresh at midnight. Bonus time from inviting friends is different: it never expires, and it's only used once the day's allowance is gone. So bonus hours earned today are still there in six months.
How does the 7-day Premium trial work?
Verify your phone number in Settings and press the trial button on the Premium plan - no card needed. You get everything in Premium for 7 days. Two days before it ends we remind you; when it ends your account simply goes back to Free, nothing is charged, and everything in your library stays. One trial per phone number.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. If Samuraize isn't what you expected, write to us within 30 days of paying and we'll refund you in full, no interrogation. After that we'll refund any unused part of an annual plan on request. Cancelling is one click in Settings and you keep your plan until the period you've paid for ends.
How do I cancel?
Settings, one click, no email required and nobody trying to talk you out of it. Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you've already paid for, then drops to Free - your library stays.
How are hours and pages counted?
By the length of the source and the detail level you choose. Quick and Balanced count once; Detailed keeps more of the original and counts double; Deep counts triple. The plans quote hours at each plan's most detailed level, so Quick and Balanced always stretch further: Premium's 4 hours a day at Detailed is 8 hours at Balanced.
Is my data private?
Files you upload are used to make the summary and are not kept afterwards - only the summary itself is saved, to your library. Summaries are private to you unless you publish one to the Bento Box yourself. We don't sell data, we don't train models on your content, and the site is cookieless for analytics: no IP address is stored, only a salted hash that changes daily. Payments go through Stripe and we never see your card details.
Can I use summaries for work?
Yes on any paid plan. The Free plan is for personal use. You own what you make; we claim no rights over your summaries.
Which languages does it work in?
The site itself is in English, Turkish and Spanish, and on every plan, Free included, a summary can be written in any of 14 languages - including a different one from the language the source was recorded or written in, which uses a third more of the day's allowance. Re-translating a summary you've already saved is a Premium and Maximum feature.
